Come and learn the art of professional wrestling.

What we do

We're looking for people who're wanting to learn the art of wrestling, have the patience to allow themselves to develop and the drive to get in shape. None of that is a requirement, however if you follow it, you'll develop at an optimum pace.

Training

Between our four trainers, we have over 25 years of experience in wrestling. We'll train you in the basics first, starting with bumps and rope running. We'll then move on to posting... TBC

Fitness

A good chunk of your time at Reckless Intent will be fitness training. We like going for runs, doing drills and weight lifting.

Performance

We'll train you in how to deliver an excellent match. From working crowds to helping you develop a character, getting gear and understanding the match psychology.

Safety

Wrestling can be dangerous, there's no escaping it. When you work with someone in the ring, you have a responsibility to make sure what you do is safe for you, for everyone else in the ring, and for the crowd.

Is it for me?

Wrestling is a physically and mentally demanding sport. You'll be pushed to your limits, and the end result will be a better you.

If you're prepared to put in the time and effort, potentially make some dietary/lifestyle changes, you'll excel within wrestling. It's a great way to get fit, and keep fit.

Being able to drive is a significant advantage.

The reality

If you don't like feeling sore the morning after training, and are not prepared to get used to it - wrestling isn't for you.

If you're not prepared to put the time and effort into becoming the best you can be - wrestling isn't for you.

If you want to become the best you can be, push your limits and perform in front of large crowds - wrestling IS for you.

Drink/drugs policy

Reckless Intent has a zero tolerance of drugs. What you do in your own time is your business, but when you step on our premises, you leave it all behind until you step off.

If you're caught with or under the influence of any substances, you'll be dismissed immediately. (This includes alcohol, no matter how little you've had to drink.)
